Flowers, plants, fruits (like edible arrangements fruit baskets), (some) scented beauty products, and perfumes are bad choices for cancer patients. Flowers and plants can carry bacteria and fungal spores, making them a bad choice for a gift. Cancer patients who have been through chemo or radiation are also often sensitive to strong smells, making strong-smelling beauty products or perfumes a bad choice.
If you’re interested in more details, our recent blog post, The 7 Worst Gifts For Cancer Patients, covers this more in-depth and explains the reasons behind some of the products we choose for our care packages.
Common side effects include nausea, fatigue, hair loss, skin sensitivity, mouth sores, a weakened immune system, cognitive changes, nerve damage, loss of appetite, or changes in taste.
Considering all these sensitivities, the products in our chemotherapy and radiation treatment care packages are carefully selected.
Emotional “common” side effects are not so commonly obvious until you are diagnosed. Feeling defeated, isolated, depressed, and the list goes on. We’re all human, and one of the best gifts we can receive is love, encouragement, and support from our loved ones. Knowing that people care, are thinking of us, and are rooting for us. People diagnosed or living with cancer need that more than ever. Encourage them to Rock Their Treatment!
While thoughtful and supportive, it’s essential to consider the individual’s specific health condition and any dietary or skincare restrictions they may have. Avoid strongly scented items or products that might interfere with treatment. In addition, hospitals and cancer treatment centers may have restrictions on the types of gifts they’ll accept into their facilities. It’s wise to consult with the patient or their caregivers, and of course, when in doubt, check with the healthcare team.
Our cancer care packages are thoughtfully packaged and shipped in delightful but neat boxes. They contain all the goodies that will encourage them to Rock Their Treatment without interfering with it.

Loved opening it up to reveal all the goodies! It was a relief to the family to have those items in the package as they were on their shopping list in preparation for chemo treatment.
After racking my brains out about what to get my friend’s son as a small gesture letting him know he’s on our minds while going through chemo, I came across this site and they did not disappoint! Shipping was prompt, especially for delivering to Hawaii. I should also add that I emailed their company prior to making the purchases & received prompt responses each time. So happy to have been able to support a fellow Long Islander as well.
Kerline, thank you so much for the kind words. We try very hard and appreciate you noticing. We hope your give brings your friends son some comfort and smiles. Blessings.
Bought this for a young child and she loves it. Can’t speak for how the overall experience was, as I wasn’t there when she received the package.
Intuitive website to shop, shipped directly to my nephew, he loved, his parents loved it, all the perfect goodies for a boy his age. ❤️
Pearl, we are so sorry that your nephew has to go through treatment. Cancer is always horrible. But when a child has to go through it...it is simply unimaginable. We wish him many prayers and blessings!
So here's the deal. I bought the item as a gift for a family with a child undergoing radiation and Chemo. Rock the Treatment seemed, and still does seem, perfect. But how would I know? So it's hard to comment on "How was your overall experience using the item?" Pressed to write a review, I called the family. Understandably, they are overwhelmed. They were grateful for my thoughtfulness; seemed less than euphoric about the gift. But who knows whether that's because euphoria is not among their emotional options right now. Bottom line: I can't comment on the success of the gift. But I would give it again, as the gesture means as much as the enjoyment.
I am extremely happy that I ordered a basket from your website! I sent it to my niece for her 2 year old son. He was diagnosed with bladder cancer. She was soo impressed. It made her day 😊 The emailed that I received after ordering was so very sweet. I would recommend you in a heartbeat, & will! Thank you for outstanding service!
Jackie, thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. Cancer is never an easy thing. But in a child it is especially heartbreaking. We are so happy to have been a small part of joy for your nieces sweet boy. Many blessings to you all.
HOSPITAL DELIVERIES
We DO NOT recommend shipping our cancer patient care packages to the hospital. Patients are routinely moved to different rooms or discharged early and hospital mail rooms are sometimes slow in sorting and delivering packages. If a person has been discharged, there is no guarantee as to what would happen to your gift care package. Therefore, we strongly advise you to send your gift to the recipient’s home. Should you still choose to ship your basket to the hospital, please understand that all shipments to hospitals are made at your own risk. We are unable to guarantee or insure delivery to hospitals and you accept full responsibility if the package is delayed or lost.
However, we understand that you may not be able to deliver the gift or have someone receive and deliver it on your behalf. If this is the situation and you still choose to send to the hospital / medical facility, we strongly advise you to include the following information in the shipping details:
